1. *Rom 9:28 God is going to carry out fully His promises He has made to His people and He is going to do it SUDDENLY. Who knows we need some suddenlies? When God suddenly does a work, supernaturally, miraculously. The example we used in Part No. 1 (taken from *Isaiah 10:26) is of Gideon. For 7 years they had been oppressed by the enemy. Their harvests were stolen from under their noses and they were FRUSTRATED, DISCOURAGED AND HARRASSED. BUT GOD WAS DETERMINED TO DELIVER HIS PEOPLE. SUDDENLY THINGS CHANGED. GOD WORKED A SUDDENLY. Gideon and 300 men supernaturally defeated the Midianites and they were delivered. 7 HARD YEARS OF OPPRESSION WAS SUDDENLY OVER. Hard years of oppression in your life can be suddenly over as well! TRUST HIM.
2. The second example of SUDDENLY concerns ISRAEL IN EGYPT. This was not 7 years of oppression like Gideon, but almost 400 years that they had not known freedom. They had oppression, bondage, slavery passed down to them from generation to generation. E.G. There are people right now who are bound with generational bondages. THINGS THAT HAVE BOUND YOUR FATHER, MOTHER NOW BIND YOU. THINGS THAT BOUND YOUR GRANDPARENTS AND GREAT GRANDPARENTS STILL BIND YOU. THAT IS WHAT ISRAEL FACED. For almost 400 years they only knew generational bondage. They only knew SLAVERY, AFFLICTION, and CAPTIVITY. Some of you have grown up to know nothing but bondage. You grew up in families that knew rejection, poverty, alcoholism, violence, abuse, depression, disease. YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY DELIVERANCE COME. YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY FREEDOM COME.
3. BUT THE DAY CAME FOR ISRAEL when SUDDENLY God moved on their behalf. HE IS DETERMINED TO DELIVER. AFTER ALMOST 400 YEARS OF GENERATIONAL BONDAGE, GOD DELIVERED 3 MILLION PEOPLE SUDDENLY IN ONE DAY. GOD PARTED THE RED SEA AND THEY MARCHED OUT OF BONDAGE. GOD BROUGHT A SUDDEN DELIVERANCE IN THE MIDDLE OF AN IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION. God wants to march you out of your bondage as well. Never mind how you remember it was for your previous generations year after year. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THE SAME FOR YOU. GOD IS DETERMINED TO MOVE ON YOUR BEHALF - TO DO SOMETHING. YOU NEED TO BELIEVE GOD FOR SUDDENLY IN THE MIDDLE OF IMPOSSIBILITY. FOR HIM TO OPEN THE RED SEA AND YOU MARCH OUT - FREE FROM ALL GENERATIONAL BONDAGES. You don't have to be plagued by heart disease, arthritis, asthma, diabetes - just because they were. You don't have to be bound by alcohol, depression, lack just because they were. You don't have to be subject to abuse, unclean habits, violence, accidents just because they were. THEY LIVED IN BONDAGE - YOU DON'T HAVE TO. GOD WANTS TO MOVE SUDDENLY ON YOUR BEHALF. EXPECT IT NOW. BELIEVE HIM FOR IT NOW. *Ps 50: 14-15 Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving; and pay your vows to the Most High: call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you and you shall glorify Me.
